ZERO WASTE
Zero liquid discharge is a process whereby advanced technologies are used to recycle (rather than discharge) all of the wastewater from an industrial facility. Increased scrutiny by regulatory agencies and plant management in recent years, regarding industrial wastewater discharge, has led many facilities to seek out ZLD solutions.
SCALE-BAN™ has experience servicing a full range of zero liquid discharge (ZLD) systems which can service a broad range of wastewater discharge sources, including blow down from boilers and cooling towers, softener waste, demineralizer waste, mine drainage and a variety of other sources.

Both reduced effluent and zero liquid discharge programs have benefits for the environment and the bottom line, with reductions in water consumption by as much as 90%. Additionally, the evaporation/crystallization process can help industrial operators recover valuable by-products that can be reused or sold.
